Author's note:

Object:

The object of the game is to cross the water and collect fruit from a tree at the other side. Jump on the turtles
to get to the other side, but beware... the turtles swim to the bottom of the river every now and then. Avoid a wet
suit and collect all the fruit to go to the next level.

Play:

When the game starts, press Spacebar to go to the options menu. There you can select the graphics mode. Switch between the modes with spacebar and when you are done go to the "start game" field with the cursor keys and press spacebar again to start.
During play use the right cursor key to jump to the right and the left cursor key to jump to the left. very simple... :-)

Purple Turtles is a C64 classic made by Richard Moore. It came out as a budget title and was often a give-away if you bought a new C64 in the Netherlands. The title is fun to play for young kids and I hope my remake is too.
