Experience the thrill of driving a 1930's locomotive
This program is designed to bring you the experience of driving a 1930's passenger locomotive.

Your goal is to complete five different schedule runs along the famous Settle to Carlisle line while in full control of the engine. You must keep good time, use your fuel efficiently, not cause any damage to the equipment or track and observe typical regulations for that day.

Mastering the complexities of a steam locomotive is not easy and will probably take you some time to perfect. It is important to have a good understanding of how a steam engine works as well as the driving practices that must be obeyed. To help you master these disciplines quickly we have included a range of different information screens and training routines.
